Granting Freedom of Entry (FOE) for military Units is mostly ceremonial and gives the right of general entry to the unit to parade through the streets on ceremonial occasions and to be present at official functions and ceremonies like Anzac Day and wreath laying services. In accordance with military law and tradition this gives the Unit the right to march through the streets with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, drums beating, bands playing and ensign flying.
A scroll is prepared and then signed by the Mayor and/or CEO of the City on the front of the scroll conferring the right of FOE on the unit. On the day of the ceremonial parade the scroll is presented to the unit by the Mayor.
In a collaborative manner, Paper Indulgence can prepare content, layout & design and make the FOE Scroll for your ceremony.
